Thanks couldn't remember the name of the caulk.
I think some call it strip caulk.
I used some of the strip caulk rolled up thin (kinda like rolling pretzel dough) then flattened it out too seal up the metal panels before I screwed and rivits them on.
oh and also used aluminum(no rust)pop rivits where I drilled out the originals.
Don't forget too lube the flaps. And test that heater core.
A thin layer of the caulk around the fan flange also.
If you have big gaps in the heater box around the heater hose nipples now would be the time too address them.
I didn't like the seals I got in the "kit" for that area so I used two differnt sized valve cover grommits.
