"There is a guy up in Fremont that has a bunch of 71 and up crossmembers ready to go. His number is 510 651-5874. I got mine from him and I'm in the middle of doing the swap for my 62 C20. I'm using the crossmember from a 72 C20."
That might be a good option. I'm just over an hour away from Fremont.
