Im just old enough to be on the cusp of that change. I remember being like 12-14 and looking to help my dad with his 64 MGb racecar, calling like 30 specialty shops (long distance, remember when distance mattered?) and asking if it fit so-and-so's carb setup or this-and-that upgraded suspension.

Now even if I do have to call someone, both me and the tech are on pc's researching the info for a solution. I don't know if building and designing custom ECM tunes and FI swapping would be 1/10th as easy if the internet and the speed of information didn't change.

The only downside, along with all that new info, comes more bad info.
