Grade 5, stailess with lock washers. I double nut mine, but I am kinda anal about hitches and hate the fact that anyone can tow anything with what ever they drive. (How often do you see ppl overloading there S-10 or what ever with a heavy ass load hooked to a rusty step bumper?
