Two key stories:
When I worked at a shop every once in a while a key would get locked in a car. We had an oil filter box full of keys. Before the slim jim came out you tried every key in the box first. I only had to go back in for the slim jim once.
#2:
My sister ordered a new F150 in 1986. My dad worked at the Ford plant. While it was going down the line my dad looked it up and figured out what key it was going to have. He "procured" an extra key for the truck. When my sister finally took delivery on the truck she drove it over to show my parents. She came up to the front door while my dad snuck out the back door. When she got in the house she looked across the street only to see her BRAND NEW truck drive away. I thought she was going to die.
