Guys, I'm looking at a '65 shortbed, stepside, 1/2 ton 4x4 with 292 ci, which appears to be mostly original. It's been sitting a while, so it needs a tuneup and carb work. Body is in sad shape, though. The rocker panels are gone, holes in the floorboard, front fenders are in bad shape, etc. What's the availability of reproduction body parts such as rockers, floor pans, fenders, etc? I really like this body style and the fact that it's mostly original, but I'm concerned about the effort and $s to repair the body rot problems. I really hate rot! I was thinking of offering $1K. Any advice? Thanks.
