replacing my steering box

I'm going to replace my steering box this weekend and all I'm really worried about is keeping the wheels straight. I'm looking for any tips really from anyone that's done this before. my steering wheel isnt quite straight right now so should I fix that now or after? its really hard to tell right now with all the wheel play whats straight tho. Thank you in advance
