Transmission filter replacement - 2011 silverado

Anyone done one of these before?

I did last night and let me tell you, I was a little under prepared. The pan doesn't have a drain plug that should have been my first sign this was going to be a pain. Once the pan was unbolted and I had made a HUGE mess the pan would not come out because of the exhaust wye / crossover section. I ended up getting a ratchet strap and pulling the exhaust down by about 3/4 of an inch by the mesh flexible section that allowed me to get the pan out (barely). It didn't help that the underside of the truck was caked in mud from the PO and I had small avalanche of dirt falling on me during the whole job.

No way would I have done this had I realized all these things. Most of my tools are in storage right now too. Probably should have taken it to the shop, but maybe its just me I am always paranoid that they don't do what you ask them to....

Happy Monday.
