I will do my best to explain, anyone else that wants to explain better feel free. As your chassis is lowered or raised in some cases it changes the angle of the drive shaft from the transmission to the differential. Ideally you want to maintain what was the factory angle. This helps reduce the chance of stress on the universal joints and minimize driveline vibrations. The blocks listed have been machined so that as you lower the rear end that angle is maintained. There are several threads on the board related to pinion angles. Believe me, I'm absolutely no expert.
