Re: First project 68 C10

Welcome! Very nice truck. I feel like I've seen it before. Was it on Craigslist for a while? I may have seen it there on my daily searches. You asked several general questions, and my best response would be to search the forum as several posters already suggested. As you would expect, there are drop options from mild to wild, and the work that goes into getting to wild escalates very quickly. You can, however, knock 5-6" off the ride height fairly easily with some readily available "bolt-on" parts (springs, spindles). If you want to get rid of all the wheel gap on a static drop, you have to take it a bit further (which is actually what I'm doing right now to mine). With drop blocks and a c-notch in the rear, and a pancaked front cross member you can drop it another 2", but this is where you start to get into cutting stuff up. If you want to go any further, you're going to need some serious chassis modifications and you will have to switch over to air suspension. For whichever setup you choose, there are many threads detailing the process. This forum is an indispensable resource.
