I used an old voltage regulator and heater fan resistor to slow my electric fuel pump down so it wouldn't make so much noise. I gutted the regulator box, drilled holes in it for ventilation, mounted the resistor inside, wired it inline to the fuel pump, and mounted it on the inner fender well in a place so that my radiator fan blows air across it.
Everyone thought I was crazy at first but it works great. If it ain't raining too hard I will try to get a picture of it.
