Cast grey color is what you want if wanting the correct "new" look. The POR and Eastwood products give you that. Eastwood offers quality stuff that is more expensive than their equivalent, if you know where to find it. In other words, the company that makes the paint. I find it at major swap meets. I never used the POR product but the Eastwood stuff works great. Sandblasting is the key to success for whatever way you go. There is ceramic coating but that's a silver, stainless looking color. VHT is actually good stuff, again, over sandblasted surface.
