Re: The Hippie AD

iheVintovka no doubt sees a lot of similar paint styles on 101 as they pass though where he lives and I passed though there about four hours ago and am sitting in Banden now.

For the past 3 days we have done US 1 and 101 from Pismo beach where we went to the Race of Gentlemen http://s173.photobucket.com/user/mr4...?sort=2&page=1

I was a bit amazed by the number of hippy types hitch hiking 101. Far more than there are rides for. It seemed that they had to have a costume on in Humboldt ca where we ate breakfast this morning.

We did see a painted up GM school bus of mid 60's origin in a parking lot this morning. I think that was at Trees of Mystery.

My guess is that that the truck in the photos still has the original engine or a later version of a stovebolt 6.

My ongoing truck projects:
48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
