With the 317 heads, LQ4 is 9.4 (dished piston), LQ9 is 10.1 (flat top) so you'll get a bit more compression than listed in the zillion LQ4 posts about the 243 heads. Ought to put you in the neighborhood of 10.9. Just something to think about if you haven't, but since you can get likely get 93 octane in MI, you'll probably be fine. Also probably something a competent tuner can handle.

yeah thats fine. i have hp tuners and a good tuning guy to help me along the way. i have a stroked 408 ls in my jeep that does just fine on premium fuel so this hopped up 6.0 should be fine
