See if you can find an original one. I have tried sending units from NAPA that look identical to the originals, but they did not work like an original. Always showed it was hot.
If you find an original, I think they say AC delco 12 volt around the edge near the threads. In many years, I have not had a bad one in all my GM cars/trucks.
