Still pondering this since I think I'll have the same dilemma when I lower my truck. I was thinking about having a second set of spring perches welded on above (opposite) the stock ones. There are shallow ones available so I'm hoping to limit my drop to between 3.5 to 4 inches. The external axle diameter on a 1/2 ton axle is 3 inches right? And how about swapping in 4x4 spring hangers if I needed to raise it back up a bit?
