confused about carbs
Hello all
I need to replace the carb on a 1986 GMC sierra classic. I pulled the existing and according to the rochester page its a carb off a buick, therefore this is not the original carb. The carb is a rochester quadrajet and everything hooks up perfectly but I noticed someone used washers on the two front bolts to take up their slack, about 1/2 inch to long. Are there certain numbers of carbs that are interchangeable, the rochester page is somewhat confusing? Does anyone know the correct number carb for this truck?
