This may not be the direction your going for, but I use Speedhut Gauges in all my builds (6th set so far) They are 100% fully customizable I.E. back light,font,tick style,bezel,pointer color face color etc.
The speedo is ava. in GPS so NO cable ran to the transmission! and the gauges can be programmed to use with any sending unit on the market!
Also on speedo....60ft time,1/4 mile time,direction,recorded top speed,and elevation.
