I found a tranny shop willing to do my swap, I just don’t have the time, tools, or skill to do it myself. The shop suggested I get as many of the swap parts as I can, to help speed things along. Here’s what I’ve got.

Lokar - Column Shift Linkage ACA-1800
Lokar - Hi-Tech kickdown kits KD-2200RHT
TCI - Lockup Wiring 376600
TCI - Replacement Lockup Solenoids 376601
Superior - Shift Reprogramming Kit 200-4R HP

QUESTIONS:
I’m wondering if you guys out there know what I can/should do as far as the shift indicator?
Do I need some sort of speedo/governor gear swap as well?
Anything I’m missing?
go back to the car and get the tv cable and bracket on the intake and the carb, or at least the pin the tv cablr connects to and a good clear photo of where it is mounted on the throttle linkage..

There is no kick down cable, so no idea what that lokar kit is..

The 83/84 monte ss had a 3.42 gear gear and a 26" tall tire
the 85-88 had 3:73 gears and a 26" tall tire.. this will help tell you how far off your speedo will be..

if running a holley carb they make a 2004r cable connector to put on the throttle linkage, same with edelbrock..

If you can't get the tv cable parts off the doner car you'll need to get them..
one that mounts to intake and the other for the carb..

And it must be set correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is life or death of your trans..

The 2004r used the same yoke as the th350 you are replacing, and will require moving the truck transmission crossmember back a little..

Replace the converter, the oem lock up clutch most likely is on last leg.. not worth using it.
