this is a spindle that broke off on me about 25 years ago about 15 mi. north of williams lake.

it was actually a lucky day as the snap ring held it together as I was doing 60 and didn't know it until I could smell brake line. pulled over off the highway and pulled it apart. found out the problem and took the broken parts and hitch hiked back to Williams Lake and found an old auto wrecker and he had a spindle off an old jeep and it was the same (lucky day). hitched back and put it back together and made it home to Pr. George that evening; another 150 mi. I didn't have one of your fancy sockets , but I did have a hammer and a big old screwdriver and that did it
