Hi,these heads are as follows,70-78,oval port,open chamber,when used on a 402,it was an LS-3 at 240 hp,when used on a 454 it was an LS-5 at 270 hp. I find no mention of being "peanut ports"....The "peanut ports" are good torque heads though, like for heavy towing or off-roading, just not good for high rpm drag racing. Hope this helps you out.
