I hear you on repops. So far I've spent about 30 hours trying to get chinese pass side fender anywhere close to fitting, I actually had to redrill/move all the mounting holes 1/2" back and still not right. Even the fronts have to be relocated. I have come to conclusion it will not get any better. I would also have to "stretch" grill 1/2" wider to get hood to fit evenly. The fender still appears to be cocked counter clockwise as you describe. Surprisingly the repop inner fender wells fit the original drivers side fender ok but NOT the repop passenger side. As said before these chinese jobs also have different seams and certainly different dimensions than originals and i would advise against using only one if possible I now thoroughly regret not having the original extensively repaired
