Lt1swap.com has all the information you need. also you tube "project rowdy" That guy is putting a 5.3 into a jeep and walks you through his harness and engine rebuild. I too have a 4.8 I'm putting into an 85 c10.
Those plus the knowledge on this board will be about all you need to work the kinks out.
What transmission are you using?
