the ve pumps can run a 3200 rpm gov spring, and the p-pumps can run either a 4000 or 5000 rpm gov setup. I run a 4000 in mine and its plenty. I ran over the pass in colorado with a big camper and it was no problem pulling it. held speed just fine.
