The only minor thing I don't like about clutch fans is that they are engaged when you first start a cold engine which makes them noisy when they don't have to be. After a minute or so, the centrifugal forces disengage until it re-engages when the temps warrant more cooling.
Other than that, they pull huge amounts of air when needed.
