I'm running a dual 12" setup with my aluminum radiator for my LS swap. The fans were wired up so I have one coming on regularly and the other one comes on if the temp warrants it.
I do have a manual but I have no problems keeping my setup cool with the single 12" fan so I would think you would be good either way.
