Re: Has anyone had GOOD experience with the FiTech Fuel Command Center?
I know what you mean. I have had my GoStreet and FCC for over a year and haven't installed it due to all the issues I keep reading. I don't want to make a fairly reliable car, unreliable. Most issues seem to be due to heat or the float system in the FCC hanging up and blocking fuel flow. The high pressure pump starves and ends up killing itself in short order.
It seems that a solution that is working well for some is to remove the float system and pump the "vent" from the FCC as a return line. This way the low pressure side is always recirculating fuel back to the tank and not allowing it to heat up as much. I am seriously looking at doing this and running a regulator at 4 psi. Since this is for my El Camino, I already have a hard return line back to the tank from the original charcoal canister. Make doing this really easy
I am disappointed that something so simple, has been a source of many folks headaches. I love the FCC idea but it seems it hasn't lived up to what it should have.
