1. you most likely need to switch springs or adjust something (i don't know what exactly in an msd) to pull out some of your total timing. did you check your total timing. should have it in the neighborhood of 36.

2.turning the mixture screws on the carb have little effect of the rich/leaness of the carb under trottle. they are only largley effecting the idle settings

3.you did try toping off the fluid in your p.s. pump didn't you? if so and its still going out, they are cheap and easy to replace
