So what's next? I see guys on Youtube using impact guns but does this not cause the pinion gear and ring gear to chatter on each other and cause surface damage to both? I doubt an impact gun could get this nut off anyway.

The rear end i'm assuming is a dana 70hd right? That axle is a beast for sure.
One time I used a floor jack against a breaker bar to loosen a pinion nut i'm a pretty hefty guy but even I couldn't loosen it.
