If I'm not mistaken, these types of shows generate revenue from parts suppliers by using and plugging the parts they use in the builds, verbally or in the credits. The shows are basically a platform for parts manufacturer advertisement. Without that revenue, the show would be short lived. So it benefits the show to use as much aftermarket stuff as they can possibly get advertisement dollars for.
