Picture one is the anti diesel solenoid, turns on with the key and cracks the throttle open to idle setting.
Transmissions modulator vacuum connection at top of picture 2. Bottom of pic 2 is the transmission controlled spark solenoid, it only allows vacuum advance in 3rd gear.
