I saw your post about your install parts, I see you switching to hei too, you can run that off the same wire as the choke if you want, plenty of wire size and power there for both.
Don't use the original coil wire as That wire has built in resistance.
If you decide to use the coil circuit then, remove the wire at the engine wiring harness connector where it connects to the fuse box. The engine and lighting harness are secured with a 3/8 bolt, once the engine connector is removed, trace the coil wire and remove it from the connector by squeezing the tab at the base to release the tab and push it through. Tape off the removed wire for possible future changing back to points.
The connector is a packard 56 male, buy a new one and run a new wire to the hei.
