My home shop is 18x28 plenty long and wide enough to work on anything, but not wide enough to have anything side by side.
I hate having anything lay around outside, plus I'm sure my neighbors wouldn't like it either. So my home rule is, project in the shop only. If its a runner/driver/licensed/insured it can be at the house outside the shop.
