I've been thinking about this whole scenario. I wonder if you sold your K5 after the crash and before they settled with you and screw up the title? Sell it to an out of state friend! I don't think they could change the title after you already sold it out of state. Nothing says you have to wait for closure with the insurance co. to be able to sell it! Think about that for a while.
