Thanks for the advice everyone. That empty parking lot idea is a great one, same way my dad taught me to drive manual now that I think about it.

My usual driving is nothing demanding, just to work and the stores on urban roads, and some occasional highway driving. Nice to know a 2wd with weight would suffice, but if I can find a K10 for the eight price who knows? I'll probably keep changing my mind a few times before I get there!
