I like to pull transmissions with engines. I think it is easier to get them re-attached outside the vehicle. The 67-71 mounts are harder, but even 72 up style mounts make it difficult IMHO to get the transmission remated to the engine in the truck. Manuals are harder than automatics, but getting the angle just right can be a pain on either. If you have a good lift, I would pull them together.
