I did that to weld up the dozens of holes previous owners had drilled through the floor for various things, including different seats. I also took the opportunity to seal, paint, and then finish the underside with some heat resistant acoustic coating.

I did set it on wood planks with a couple of 4x4s notched for the drip rail. I had a couple of friends help me with tilting, lifting, and setting the cab down.
