The way the hinge is constructed, both ends of the roll pin hole are 1/4" I.D. The center section of that hole is 3/16" I.D., so you cannot drive a 1/4" drift all the way through from top to bottom, which is what I initially tried. I was finally able to drive the roll pin out using a smaller diameter drift (well, a bolt, actually).
