special-K...if the current starter is still working but fails when subjected to heat soak, try wrapping both the starter (especially the solenoid) and the header tubes with as much heat wrap as you can get in there...

The smaller low profile starters will suffer from the heat soak as well...it wasn't until I spent the time to wrap all components with heat wrap that the issues went away...trust me...its no fun having a blown 468 RAT that wont start hot...
