It is no different than the solenoid on your starter except it is wired inline on the positive cable. The purple wire from your starter will now go to the S pole of the solenoid and if you are still running points the yellow wire will come from the other pole. If you are running HEI the other pole will be empty.
The only wire on your starter will be the positive cable coming from your new remote solenoid.
