This was a very common conversion in Europe in WWII and after as there was no gas.n anything that will burn can be used. Manure was a popular fuel as it was cheap, found everywhere and will prep itself just laying out in the field. But don't expect much in the way of horsepower. There is an old book out there on the subject that is pretty interesting.
