Removing the SM465 was easier (for me) by leaving the BH attached to the motor. When I installed my NV4500, I had to install both the trans and the BH as a unit because I had drilled/tapped the trans to accept bolts and used the original cast iron BH. The modification then necessitated bolting the BH on with bolts to the inside so the NV must go in with the BH attached. (In my case)
Still, it was very easy to align and adjust while suspended from the cables.
