10" wide wheels will fit but the look desired will directly effect the overall back-spacing requirements. Take the previously mentioned 70's Gurney styled wheel for example, @ 15x10" w/probably industry standard 4" back-space they will fit most trucks that aren't more than typical 4-6" drops, but if you lower more than that they will rub @ the fenderwell lips which can be annoying as well as tear up the tire. I prefer my wheels tucked up nice & deep(but not so far as to rub on the inside)so I usually pay more for custom offsets. There is no way a 10" wheel w/4" b-space would work on my 68 short wide so I run a 8"truck ralleys w/4" b.space w/no probs & since they are readily available it keeps the cost down. On my 67 short wide I run 20x10's w/6" b.space & widened the tubs to accomodate the b.space & yes it takes more work but it sure looks sweet.
