I went back and added a pic of the crack I caused when tightening down the license plate light. I took some daytime pics yesterday of the taillights & license plate light. Due to everything being black, it's hard to make out details of the light. You can't really see the extra rubber gasket I made. All I can say is that the plastic lens/housing should be sitting closer/more flush to the roll pan.
I'm pleased with how the taillights came out. Now I don't have to worry too much about whether folks can see me stopping during the daytime. Aside from one incident with a state trooper when we lived in SC, I've never had any issues with the tinted tails; and I've had numerous other cops behind me. These new tails should offer a bit more peace-of-mind though.
