Glad you didn't hurt anything but the mirror.
Years ago in my '73 with those big trailer mirrors on it, I was in a 35 mph zone passing a bus stop when a guy standing on the curb decided just then to lean his head out over the road to see if the bus was coming...missed his face by about an inch!
Got to be careful with those mirrors that stick way out there!
