I agree with The Dude...6" Lift with a set of 35's on the 73-87 bodystyle looks GOOD. Also, when you see lifted trucks with the wheels sticking out, it's because the drivers are too stupid to ask questions and do the research when they buy rims. They just say "Mommy/Daddy, I want rims on my truck!"
I THINK you'll need 15x10" rims with 6" of Backspacing, with 35"x13½" A/T Tires. I would say for the Lift Kit, and Rims/Tires you'd be looking right around $1500 ($500 for the lift, $1000 for rims and tires.)
