That trim leg goes behind the glass. Once it pops out it's pull the windshield and start all over
Possibly you can get that part of the glass out to work trim in.
This is why I think the 71-72 gasket and trim way be easier for me.
If the trim tries to work out you can get it back in since it's not behind the glass
