Unless it's a drag truck... a full on billet timing set is a waste of money.
A plain' ol' Cloyes double roller at $30 bucks will be just fine. It'll last well over 100,000 miles.
I have never babied an engine in any rig. From break-in to rebuild and all time in between... run the snot out of them. SBC's are made to take a beating from the factory.
