Most of the rubber on the outer seals are too short and don't reach the glass. The problem could also be that the metal strap between the inner and outer door panels is broken and the door is spread apart. Here is a picture of the strap and where mine was cracked. If there is a gap between your vent window rubber and the outside of the door this may be the problem. This happens to be a '72 door so it shows the clip for the door screw also.
