Its been awhile since highschool auto shop, too long to remember what car it happened to. I think it might have been a friends Ranchero. I do remember the lesson about it and how the oil pan had to come off the get the missing end of the lever. I must have learned the lesson well enough. I've done at least half dozen Poncho pumps over the years and never had to pull the pan. (Yet!!!)
